Mission

The Community Service and Environment Office at the Faculty of Economics aims to enhance the faculty's role in community service and environmental development through effective partnerships and quality initiatives that contribute to solving social problems and supporting sustainable development.

Vision

Excellence in providing community services and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development, in alignment with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and the University of Derna.

Department Objectives

Strengthening the faculty's connection with the local community and contributing to addressing its developmental issues.
Raising social awareness and spreading positive values among community members.
Developing a sense of citizenship among students through their participation in community activities.
Organizing scientific seminars on negative phenomena and their impact on society and the environment, and proposing future solutions.
Conducting workshops that contribute to community awareness and promote a culture of sustainable development.
Building effective community partnerships with local and regional institutions.
Organizing training courses that contribute to developing the capacities of the local community and improving its performance.

Strategic Plan

Community Service and Environmental Department Plan

    The plan aims to enhance the partnership between the faculty and its surrounding community by implementing awareness and training programs, organizing scientific and social events, and developing environmental and economic projects that meet local needs. The success of this plan relies on leveraging the academic and field expertise within the faculty and achieving effective integration between educational, governmental, and non-governmental institutions to implement initiatives that contribute to improving individuals' lives and achieving sustainable development.
